The front neckline is the focal point of your outfit—get it right, and you’ve nailed the look. While high necks are chic, I’m a huge fan of open front designs for their elegance. Here are two stylish and achievable designs:

1. The Deep Square Neckline:
This is a timeless, regal choice. The cutting is straightforward: mark a deep square from the center front. The key to a clean finish is in the stitching. You must use a strong interfacing or a matching fabric strip to face the neckline, preventing it from stretching out. It pairs beautifully with statement necklaces or stands strong on its own.
2. The Sweetheart Neckline:
Romantic and universally flattering! Drawing the curved sweetheart shape can be tricky; I recommend using a paper stencil first. When stitching, you’ll need to make small clips into the seam allowance along the curve so it lies flat when you turn the facing inside out. It’s a detail that makes all the difference for a professional finish.
