If you haven’t discovered silk thread jewellery yet, you’re missing out! This art form, which I first fell in love with at a crafts fair, involves wrapping silk threads around a base to create stunning, colorful patterns. It’s incredibly lightweight and vibrant.

Bangles (Chooda): The most classic example, especially for Punjabi brides. The red and white combination is iconic, but modern versions use every color imaginable.
Necklaces & Earrings: Designers are now creating gorgeous statement neckpieces and earrings using this technique, often combining threads with lac or wooden beads. It’s a beautiful way to add a pop of color to a neutral outfit.
